About Dami
I am a caring and creative Science teacher who thrives on strong relationships built with pupils, parents and colleagues. I graduated from King's College London with a 2:1 in Biomedical Science, and then went on to obtain my PGCE with qualified teacher status (QTS).I have taught for 10+ years in various settings, including a local outstanding school in Medway, where I worked for 6 years. During my career, I have also had extensive pastoral experience, as both a form tutor and head of sixth form. I, therefore, know well the challenges student face and how to support them in a way that builds their confidence. I am also able to offer advice in relation to subject requirements and choices for GCSE and A Level students.I believe that every student's individual and unique personality has a large impact on how they learn and, therefore, how I teach. This is a big reason why I made the change from classroom teaching to 1:1 and small group teaching - I love being able to really understand a child's needs and be part of their sustained progress. Outside of teaching, I love the performing arts and writing for performance.

Parent (KS3 Science Home Schooling), 2019"Dami is a very good tutor. She is a very nice person and she is very friendly with my daughter."
Parent (GCSE Chemistry), 2023"Dear Dami.
I would like to congratulate you for the excellent results you achieved in 2024. The Biology class you taught achieved exceptionally well and had amongst the highest progress at KS4 in this subject of any examination class across the Trust’s fifteen secondary academies receiving results this summer.
This is a very considerable achievement and happened in no small part due to your excellent teaching and the superb support you provided to your students.."
Excerpt of a letter from the School Trust CEO, 2024"Thank you for all of the support that you have given me throughout this year for biology. It has been a pleasure being your student and your sessions have been very beneficial towards my understanding. Even outside of the sessions you have helped me with anything I’m stuck on and now I am confident that the exams I’ve sat were done to my best ability. I’m excited to see what I get on results day and I’m sure it will be a much better grade than where I started from. Thank you."
Student (A-Level Biology), 2025
This student was able to achieve a grade C in A Level Biology, after previously attaining a grade E, with just around 6 sessions of tuition before her exams. She was then able to gain admission into her first choice university!"Revising plant sciences, with a focus on plant hormones. Dami selected students to answer, and helped scaffold their responses. She didn't give away answers, but rephrased questions to allow students to answer.
Very challenging topic, and Dami modelled excellent learning behaviours. "
Colleague Observation Feedback (A Level Biology), 2025"I just wanted to say a huge thank you for tutoring my son🙏🏾😊. He got his Chemistry exam result back and he achieved a grade 7. His term grade was 4 previously."
Parent (GCSE Chemistry), 2025*"Dami has been an incredible support to my son, Harrison, throughout his GCSE Science revision. Her weekly one-hour sessions have not only improved his understanding of the subject but, more importantly, have really helped to build his confidence ahead of his exams.
She consistently went above and beyond by setting weekly tasks and marking them through Google Classroom, giving him valuable feedback and keeping him motivated. When he became overwhelmed at the start of exam season, Dami even stayed beyond his lesson time to help him create a realistic revision timetable around his other exams.
Her patience, encouragement and dedication have made such a difference, and I honestly can't thank her enough. I would highly recommend Dami to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and genuinely caring science tutor."
